What is Pay Per Click?

Pay per click means that if your ad is displayed and someone clicks on it then you are charged for the click. You are not charged for the inpression of your ad. For example, you have a site selling car wheels and request for your ad to be displayed as a text ad on Google search results. Your ad is displayed 1000 times in the first day but only 5 potential customers click on your ad. You are charged 5 times for the clicks and not 1000 times for the ad displays.
